The team was in action on Saturday night at Grandview Speedway.  The night didn’t start out as good as we would have liked.  In our qualifying heat race we started 4th, but got hung out on the outside of the track which wasn’t the place to be and slid back to 7th.  With the poor qualifying result we started back in 12th position for the feature event and the track was quite black and slick due to the extra modified feature that had run earlier in the night.  With only a few laps in the race, Jason narrowly avoided a spinning car in the middle of turn 1 and 2, which collected 4 race cars.  The rest of the race Jason battled with several cars and slowly moved up through the field until the checkered flag waved and we finished in a respectable 5th place.  Considering the condition of the track, which started to take rubber, moving up 7 positions in 20 laps wasn’t too bad of a night.  The finish moved us up 2 positions in the point standings to 7th and 66 points out of the top 5.

We will be racing again this coming Saturday night at Grandview.
