Well the team finally made it back to the track!  The car that flipped on July 10th is junk and won’t return to the track.  However we did get the motor back that broke in the 1st week of the season and put it back in our 2010 chassis.  We took the car to Port Royal Speedway Saturday night for a special double payout show.  The car looked good in our heat race where we started 4th and finished 2nd, with a full straightaway gap to 3rd position.  The feature was an extra distance race with 33 laps instead of the normal 20 laps.  We started in the 2nd position, and stayed in the top 5 for the first 25 laps.  A few cautions bunched the field back up and we lost a couple positions on the restarts and ended up finishing 7th for the night.  Overall we were pleased with the results considering it was a new motor and car and we had been away for almost 2 months.

Next weekend there are 2 shows for the Labor Day weekend at Port Royal Speedway, one on Saturday night and another on Monday afternoon.
